Anyone using a CrowView screen mainly for YouTube streaming? How’s the experience long-term?
Hey everyone,
I recently picked up a CrowView series screen to use as a secondary display for my laptop, and one of my main uses has actually been watching YouTube while I work or test projects on the main screen. So far it’s been decent, but I’m curious about other people’s real-world experience over time — especially for video streaming.
A few things I’ve noticed / wondered about:
On longer YouTube sessions (2–4 hours), the screen gets a bit warm. Is that normal for these panels?
How’s the color accuracy and brightness holding up for you after a few months? Mine looks slightly different from my laptop display, especially with skin tones.
Do you guys tweak any specific display settings (brightness, contrast, color temp) on the CrowView itself to get better video quality?
If you’re powering it from a single USB-C cable, have you seen any flicker or brightness drops during HD/4K playback?
I know these screens are mostly marketed for productivity and dev setups, but I’m guessing a lot of us use them for media in the background too. Would love to hear how yours is holding up and any tips to get the best YouTube viewing experience out of it.

I played around with brightness and color temp on the CrowView and that actually helped a lot with YouTube skin tones — dropping brightness slightly and using a warmer color profile feels easier on the eyes for long sessions.
Also, I’ve seen a few people DM me mentioning YouTube Premium mod APKs from YTmodz as a way to avoid ads on a secondary screen. Just a heads-up for anyone considering that route: those mods aren’t official, can break randomly, and come with security risks. Personally, I’ve stuck with legit options (Premium trial / background playback / PiP) to avoid account or device issues. If you’re curious about general info and comparisons people talk about online, you can always visit website discussions first and decide what’s best for you.
Still interested to hear how others are handling long YouTube sessions on CrowView long-term 👍
