Lesson 03: Images flicker when transitioning from one to another

Hi. How can I get the 5 bitmap tutorial images on my SD card to transition smoothly from one to another without them displaying a noticeable side-to-side ficker as they load in sequence? It's quite severe therefore a little annoying. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

    Apologies for omitting some specs. I'm using V.3 of the 7" HMI panel. Apart from defining the 7" version in gfx_config the code is not altered in any way. Using Arduino IDE with ESP32S3 board and upload settings as per instructions.
