CrowPi-L power input limits?

How much leeway do we have on the 12v input for the CrowPi-L?
I'd like to set up a car-power cable (cigarette lighter plug), but car voltages vary from 12-14.5, sometimes even higher, and I don't know what the charging unit's tolerances are.
