The board I received comes with an esp32-p4 v1.3 chip. can the board supported by ESP-IDF v6.x?

ESP-IDF v6.x is supported, but it must be configured manually.
1. Access menuconfig
Run the following command in your project directory:

bash
idf.py menuconfig
2. Locate the chip revision option
Navigate to the following path:
Component config → Hardware Settings → Chip revision

  1. Enable support for older versions
Select the option: "Select ESP32-P4 revisions < 3.0 (No >=3.x Support)".

This action sets the configuration parameter CONFIG_ESP32P4_SELECTS_REV_LESS_V3=y, instructing the compiler to generate firmware compatible with v0.x / v1.x chips.

  1. Save and rebuild
Save your configuration, run idf.py build to recompile the project, and then flash the firmware.
