I'm using the 5-inch version (Model DHE04107D) and using the firmware from GitHub factory_firmware folder (where the .bin files are), I see very good performance: there's no tearing when scrolling, and the frame rate feels good, probably around 30 fps.
But when I use the firmware from the factory_sourcecode folder and compile and upload the sketch myself, the performance is noticeably worse. Enabling the FPS counter, I see that the frame rate drops from 33 to 15 when scrolling. The only difference is that my IDF version is 5.4.3 instead of 5.4.2, as in the example. But when installing according to the guide, ESP-IDF doesn't have version 5.4.2, so I chose the next closest version.
My question is how can I configure the sketch for maximum performance, because it's obviously possible, I'm just doing something wrong?
