Wall installation - need power supply from rear

When installed at wall isn't nice to see Usb cable coming out from the side.
Is there any solution to power supply from rear? Tried to weld 2 wires on "BATT" but doesn't switch on. I have both 5.0" and 7.0"

  • Hi, matatools,
    Thank you for reaching out.

Please check whether the power supply meets the 3.7-4.2V, 2A specification. Normally, it should work this way, but please ensure that the polarity is not reversed.

If you need further assistance, feel free to ask!

  • Hi, so which is the solution to hide the power supply cable? Is it using BAT connector or what?

    Hi, matatools,
    Thank you for reaching out.

You can use a 90-degree angled USB-C cable to connect to the CrowPanel's USB-C port for power supply, or wire an external power source to the CrowPanel's BAT interface.

If you need further assistance, feel free to ask!

  • Depends on your physical requirement, there are 180° (U-turn) USB Type-C cable/adapter available, see link below
    https://www.amazon.com/usb-c-180-degree-cable/s?k=usb+c+180+degree+cable

  • You can try using a right-angle USB adapter or a recessed outlet behind the device to hide the cable. If you're looking to power it from the rear, check if there are dedicated power terminals or contact the manufacturer for proper wiring guidance. Soldering directly to the "BATT" terminals may not work due to power management limitations.

  • I tried to solder 2 wires to BATT terminals and it seems running properly
