CrowPanel ESP32 E-paper HMI Display - SPI Interface

Hello,
We can program the esp32 driver to draw to the epaper screen for instance for the CrowPanel ESP32 2.13”.
So what is the purpose of the SPI interface? is it possible to connect another esp32 to the same screen? In this case where to find the appropriate connector and software example for that?
