Crowpanel 2.8 USB Connectivity

I have a Crowpanel 2.8 (ver 2.1) is not being reconized on the USB on my Home Assistant HAOS (Dell Optiplex 3040). I have previously connected multiple ESP-32s successfully. I have tried 3 different USB Cables. I have to believe the appropriate USB Driver (CH340?????) is not installed. I just don’t have a clue on what version nor how to do it… Suggestions would be most welcome

  • I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble connecting to the board. To troubleshoot the problem, please confirm the following information

You just can't see the serial number? Can the board light up our factory program?
Whay's your HW version, 1.0 or 2.0? (Check out the backside of the board)
You can use the driver ch340,if not,you can try this one, search on the internet to download it.

  • When I plug the Crowpanel into the Home Assistant Application server (which is linux based) the lights up and does the factory installed screen stuff. The hardware is version 2.1. The CH340 is installed. The problem is the board is not detected when I try to download the ESPhome code.
