RR050 - 5" TFT DIsplay - No display with Raspberry Pi 3B
I have attached an Elecrow 5: display 800x400 XPT-2046 to a Raspberry Pi 3B,. running Bullseye. Board is installed directly onto the male pins of the Raspberry Pi AND the HDMI-HDML connector. It is not working for me. On startup, it displays progressively darker "screens" in a pattern like a slow oscilloscope, with scan lines running top to bottom, darkening the display.
After about a minute of that (more or less), The display goes mostly blank, with a 'low-voltage' lightning bolt in the top right of the display (this lightning bolt comes and goes over time, mostly gone). This effect happens with ea h of two 6A power supplies that I have tried.

Reading your OP, you are experiencing 2 issues

Let's look at each issue one-by one
1. No video being displayed.
Looking at the photos of the board. It can be identified as
I can see that some parameter settings posted for your config.txt is looking a little different/missing from those listed in the wiki. So, try edit/add them accordingly

I would suggest to copy and paste the entire section above to the end of your config.txt file. So, the added parameter settings will overwrite those same parameter settings, if found, before it.

2. Low voltage warning (lightning bolt)
This is due to the input power to the Pi is below spec.
The power spec. is 5V +/- 5% (4.75 to 5.25V). A little extra voltage won't hurt, but 5.1V is not required (5.1V/2.5A is the spec of the official power supply, which is why it's often recommended). Any PSU that can supply a well regulated 5V (or even a bit less) should work fine.
The key is well-regulated. So, use the offical power supply is alway recommended.

@Pearl - thank you, you've solved the problem. I don't know how I got so far away from the recommended config.txt settings, but your recommendations resolved the funny-acting (and sometimes not working) display. As for the power, that remains a mystery. Of course, the "max_uxb_current" hides that problem, but there is an issue somewhere. This same power supply happily powers a Raspberry Pi 4B with 7" display, and also a 5B, 8GB with a whopping 10" display (one system at a time, of course), withiout displaying that lightning bolt. And, as I mentioned, I have swapped out "twin" power supplies with no change in symptom. But I will assum until proven otherwise that this is a RPi anomaly. Thank you so much for your help. Problem is resolved.
