CMS01101D display with BeagleBone Black

I just got a CMS01101D display to use with a BeagleBone Black.

When I power on the BBB the display appears to be using the wrong timing. Everything on the screen is "tilited" to the left like it's in italics and each line progressively moves farther to the right.

It appears the BBB correctly detected the display and is in the right mode:

$ cat /sys/class/graphics/fb0/modes

U:1280x800p-0

Any ideas?

  • Does the CMS01101D  return valid EDID information?

    I was able to get it to work by forcing a video mode in the kernel command line with 'video=HDMI-A-1:1280x800@60e'.

    I looked in the /sys/class/drm/card0-HDMI-A-1 directory and the edid file is 0 bytes.

  • Hello @bigguiness ,

    May I kindly ask what os is running on BeagleBone Black?
