CrowView Note - USB serial adapter compatibility

Hey folks,

I wonder if the CrowView Note 14 is compatible with any USB-to-serial adapter cables on its USB-A port? I would like to connect to a system that only has exposed RS232 instead of USB.

Thanks in advance!

USB serial adapter compatibility depends on the chipset (like FTDI, CH340, or Prolific), driver support for your operating system, and the device you're connecting to. Always check for updated drivers and OS support before buying

  • Dear wiredOr,
    Sorry for the late reply.
What kind of system is the system you mentioned specifically ? How do you plan to wire it with Crowview note? What functions do you need to achieve? Please provide as much detailed information as possible so that we can further help you solve the problem.

Now it's on me being late, sorry! :)
I want to connect the CrowView Note 14 to a device that has a HDMI output (so the display can be connected right away) but no USB connector. Instead, it has only a RS232 serial interface (12V level, Rx/Tx) to connect to. Is this possible?
    Thanks in advance!

  • Dear wiredOr,
    Thanks for your impatience.
The RS232 serial interface needs to be connected to the adapter board first, and then the USB cable is connected from the adapter board to the USB-A port on the left side of our device. However, this solution is theoretically possible. You need to try it out to see if it works.
    Thanks!
