Can the CrowPi2 handle the extra current of the RaspberryPi 5?
I assume it will work but the connectors may fail.
Will there be heavier cables to handle the RaspberryPi 5?
@Rovman Just received a marketing email indicates the Raspberry Pi 5 is now compatible also. However, there is no information on how to identify the differences. I have emailed Elecrow about this and will update when I receive a reply.
When ordering, you need to choose the appropriate kit version on its ordering page.
@Rovman Can you confirm the connector type of the Power Supply used for your CrowPi2 (i.e. DC barrel plug or USB-C plug) please? It seems that the new CrowPi2 version that is compatible with Raspberry Pi 4B/5 uses a 5V USB-C Power Supply. Thanks
DC barrel plug.
I solved the problems:
1. Use a bigger SD card than 32 GB. I used a 128 GB.
2. Expand the OS after the first boot up. It is described on this forum.
3. The updates installed OK. Do not switch to labwc as recommended. It might work for a normal Raspberry Pi but messes up the Menu Bar on the CrowPi2. The message you see is below.
