I have spent a week trying to get the PiTower Gen 2 to function as advertised. It does not. Support for Trixie is a lie. Presently, only Bookworm is supported, via an image file, and I cannot find any way to configure the 11 RGB LED modes advertised; the modes cycle and not sure if there are 11. This forum prevents adding links or file extension by throwing up class exception errors. I put a fork on the GitHub repository to the Bookworm image. Any attempt at a Frankenstein upgrade to Trixie will result in a corrupted device. The provided installation files were incomplete and unfinished. Only one SSD is displayed and labelled ROM.
Now, 3 weeks in, Elecrow have update the GitHub repo with a new image and manual install instructions. The image is still Bookworm and the manual install instructions still do not work. The location of the Python interpreter is wrong. These instructions have not been checked. Incompetent corner cutting and time wasting. The locations even differ from the Bookworm image.
This level of support is useless. You will be left to write your own drivers. Send it back.
