Hi,
I am trying to complile and run the included example (RotaryScreen_2_1) for the CrowPanel 2.1inch-HMI ESP32 Rotary Display 480*480 IPS Round Touch Knob Screen in Arduino IDE 1.8.19, using the included libraries, and included SquareLine UI files. I've used similar screens before, and created my own SquareLine UIs in the past. This one, however, will not compile. When I try to verify the project, it says that the sketch is too large (Sketch uses 5951649 bytes (189%) of program storage space. Maximum is 3145728 bytes)
I even tried removing unneeded code (LED bar and all wifi code) and removed some of the un-used images). No clue how to get this to compile and run... How did Elecrow get their example built??

I set up the board (under the tools menu) exactly as described in the instructions in the GitHub repo.

I have recently purchased a 5.79in e-paper screen kit following this link: https://www.elecrow.com/crowpanel-esp32-5-79-e-paper-hmi-display-with-272-792-resolution-black-white-color-driven-by-spi-interface.html

Can I use any 3.7 Li-ion battery with 2pin connector with this display? For example, will this 3000mah battery from amazon work without any additional resistor or components? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D3LP6F8G?th=1

Another question is how to get the battery level from code? Is there any example?

Thanks!

I’ve tried every possible way to get the Elecrow CrowPanel Pico 2.8" display working, but I haven’t succeeded. I followed the tutorial, installed the libraries provided in the guide, but nothing works.

I managed to write something to the display, but only by using an ILI9341 driver instead of the ST7789 it’s supposed to have — however, the text appeared mirrored. Anyway, I deleted everything, started from scratch, and now I no longer have the “semi-working” code.
If I load the UF2 demo firmware, it works fine, but I can’t compile the demo myself.
Could someone please share a very basic, working example?
Eventually, I plan to try using it with LVGL.

Looking at the Arduino code examples, it seems that some GPIOs of the IO expander need to be activated, but this model of expander is not officially supported in ESPHome, at least as of now.

Is there any external component or snippet to use the expander?

Hi everyone,
I recently purchased the CrowPanel 7.0 for a project where I need to read data from analog sensors (such as fuel and water level gauges) and display the values on the touchscreen.
Before proceeding, I have a few questions:
Does the CrowPanel 7.0 support direct analog sensor inputs?
If so, how should the wiring be done to connect sensors properly?
If direct analog input is not supported, what additional modules (such as an ADC) would be required?
Any recommendations on compatible ADC modules that work well with the CrowPanel 7.0?
How would these modules be interfaced with the panel?
I appreciate any guidance, wiring examples, or module suggestions that could help me move forward with this setup.
Thank you in advance!

Hi there!
This seems like a very simple task to me but I can seem to get it right. So if anyone could help me out I'd really appreciate it.
I got this project where I want to display one of the 5 pictures stored in the SD card root of my Elecrow display depending on the keyword recieved on the serial channel. For that, I have an Arduino Due board whit the job of sending just one of the keywords at a time through Serial. The ESP32 in the Elecrow display's job is to just read whichever word has been sent last throgh Serial, compare this word to the five keyword it has stored and, if it matches with one of them, it will send a call to a function that displays the picture that corresponds to that word. Simple as that.
I'm a novice at programming this way, so I'm not seeing why I can't get the esp32 to read and compare the words in Serial as I want.
I will provide the code for the esp32 as well as a test code for the Arduino Due that just sends one of the keywords through serial after a set amount of seconds. So if anyone knows what I'm missing please let me know.
If you need more info please ask through a reply on this post and I will gladly answer the best I can.
Thank you in advance.
