Battery Level on CrowPanel -ESP32 Display-1.28(R) inch 240*240 Round

Is there a way to get the battery level or battery voltage on the CrowPanel -ESP32 Display-1.28(R) inch 240*240 Round ?

  • I'm sorry we can't get battery level and bettery voltage.

  • shame... The board and battery are already making for a large case... Adding Adafruit's battery monitor would make it way too big. It may be something to think about if you guys are designing an upgraded module Other than that, I think the current design is pretty great!

  • I noticed in the schematic, there appear to be 2 LEDs in the battery section. One looks to be labeled "CHRG" so I assume that's on while the battery is charging... if the battery is full, does it go out? or is it still on while the panel is hooked up to the USB power source?

  • With a battery, the light comes on when the power is low, it won't light up if the battery is fully charged

Is that only when a USB power source is charging the battery, or is that also when the battery is just low and running the device?

From a hardware perspective, this kind of limitation is fairly common on compact ESP32 boards. Without a dedicated ADC line wired to the battery or a built-in fuel gauge IC, you’re usually stuck with basic charge/low-power indicators rather than an actual percentage or voltage readout. The LED behavior you’re describing sounds more like a low-power or charging status indicator than a true battery monitor.
