Question about the USB HUB/PowerManager for RPI Zero

https://www.elecrow.com/wiki/index.php?title=USB_Hub%26Powermanager_for_RPI_Zero_v1.0

Will it charge the RPI Zero device if you connect a battery to the board? OR does the battery only power the HUB?

Comments

  • You could connect a battery to the USB-HUB, and connect the RPI Zero, then it can charge the RPI Zero.

It supports two ways to charge, a Battery port for the battery, and a micro USB power port for the USB directly.

  • Yes, connecting a battery to the USB Hub & PowerManager for Raspberry Pi Zero will power the Pi Zero itself. The board is designed to supply power to the Pi via pogo pins that align with the Pi's test pads (PP1, PP6, PP22, and PP23), eliminating the need for additional wiring or soldering. This setup allows the battery to power both the USB hub and the Raspberry Pi Zero.
Additionally, the board supports two charging methods: through the battery port and via the micro USB power port.
Therefore, the battery connected to the board powers both the USB hub and the Raspberry Pi Zero.
