Radius of outline inner corner

I am having trouble with a USB connector like this one.

According to the specs of your regular PCB, the minimum diameter of the outline router cut is 2mm, but the parts circled in red requires more small radius.
How should I draw such a part?
Right now, I am thinking of placing an elliptical NPTHs at the corner to ensure the corners, as in the second image. Is this okay?

  • Hello @YAMENEKO,
The part you circled is the appearance of the connector. When drawing the package, you only need to draw the fixed feet and pins, and you don’t need to draw the appearance.

No, this is a type of USB connector embedded into PCB. So this requires a sharp inner corner.

You can draw a drill hole at the corner. When making the PCB board, the factory will first drill a hole in the corner, and then cut the square outline to finally form the outer outline of the USB you need.

  • The minimum drilling diameter is 0.2mm, and the minimum gong diameter is 0.8mm

  • thank you!
