GrowCube failed to connect to WiFi
in ESP32 & Lora
I am trying to set up the growcube and I keep getting the following message.
“The device cannot connect to the WiFi named Airport Free
Wi-Fi, please check
- Whether the WiFi name and password are correct
- Whether the device is powered normally
- Whether the WiFi network is normal”
I have checked all of these things. I have double checked the spelling and password of the network, and I have made sure it is a 2.4 GHz network. Can you help me?

The wireless modem of GrowCube device is 802.11b/g/n protocol standard and cannot be modified, and does not support 5Ghz band.
Therefore, the GrowCube application and the GrowCube device cannot successfully configure the network because the router is configured with a wireless modem parameter that is not adapted to 802.11b/g/n or the router wireless modem parameter is 802.11a/ac/ax, so the network cannot be configured.
So we need to modify the router configuration. Such as ASUSRT-AC86U router setup method:
Enter the router management interface-->find wifi configuration-->professional settings-->select wireless modem settings-->up to MCS 7(802.11n)
Ok, I received Grow Cube and obviously i failed to connect via WIFI. (Direct connection works and device in general is ok). From 3 stages of connection first two are successful 1. Device is connected to internet 2. Phone is connected to Wifi Point 3. Failed.
I tried on 2 different phones Samsung Galaxy and Xiaomi with Hyper OS. No luck. I have Archer AX73 router. For testing I disconnected 5G fully on the router and left only with 2GHz, I changed mixed a/b/g/n/ax to a/b/g/n only (no other option available) I changed band from 20/40 to 20 or 40 ...also no luck. I have network name with underscores but i prefer not to change because of dozens other devices connected but i really doubt if this is a problem because device is connected to internet. Blue light is stable. Please help.

This may be because your router's intranet cannot achieve TCP communication.
Please try to use a mobile phone to open a hotspot, and then use another mobile phone to connect to GrowCube through this hotspot WiFi to see if it can connect.
