CrowPi2 software introduction
CrowPi2 is an open-source electronic prototyping platform enabling users to create interactive electronic objects. Therefore, there are much software for you to start your learning and creating, that is what I am going to introduce for you!
First of all, there is a customized CrowPi2 App, which aims to include all learning resources and provide a learning platform that can be easily managed. In addition, it also provides some additional popular software interfaces, such as Micro:bit, Arduino, allowing you to easily start your project. The following will give you a detailed introduction to each part of the App:
Project Menu: Before starting to learn, you can click on it and see what amazing projects you can build with CrowPi2! There are 20 interesting projects with detailed instructions and videos to help you get started.
Learning Menu: This is the treasure chest of CrowPi2 when your turn to learn, which provides such a detailed learning process that can guide you step by step from zero to hero. You’ll be requested to login to your account once you click this menu. If you don’t have one, just click register and make a new account with ease. After you log in it, you will find the menu is divided into 2parts, “Python” and “Scratch”.
You may ask what is Scratch and Python, be easy, I will introduce them briefly.
Scratch is for learning graphic (GUI) block programming which you can learn first if you are unfamiliar with programming at all. We design 16 lessons for learning.
Python is a programming language that lets you work quickly and integrate systems more effectively, which is a good choice to continue on. We design 38 lessons in total, 32 for onboard sensors and modules and 6 for external Crowtail sensors and modules.
Minecraft Menu: This is a good place to practice what you have learned. You can control one of the most famous games in the world through programming, and you can even control the game using the onboard sensors of CrowPi2! Similarly, we design 16 lessons for learning.
AI Menu: This is the true challenge for you to get started. It is divided into 2 parts, Speech recognition and Face recognition. To reduce the difficulty, we have installed all the drivers and dependencies for you on CrowPi2 OS. Speech recognition includes 5 lessons and Face recognition includes 7 lessons.
Game Menu: Here are 16 games written in Python for you to play, feel the charm of programming and stimulate your creativity!
Software Interfaces: In addition to all the courses prepared for you above, CrowPi2 App also provides 4 software interfaces, including Python, Micro:bit, Scratch, and Ardunio, for you to quickly access and learn.
