Hi everyone

I’m working on a small personal DIY electronics project where I’m trying to display Arabic script (specifically verses from the Quran) on an LCD screen using a microcontroller like Arduino or ESP32. The idea is to create a compact digital frame that can show different Surahs or Duas throughout the day, especially for use in prayer rooms or study areas.

While I’ve managed to get basic Latin characters to display, I’m having trouble with the proper rendering of Arabic letters, especially the right-to-left formatting and joining characters.

Has anyone here worked on something similar or have any suggestions on how to handle Arabic fonts or libraries that support complex scripts?

Also, for reference and content, I’m using this site:
https://surahyasinpdf.com
It provides the Arabic text of Surah Yaseen in PDF format, which I’m converting into images or trying to extract text from.

Would love any advice—whether it’s display hardware suggestions, code libraries, or even ways to make the content look more visually appealing on a small screen.

Thanks in advance!

I’ve been diving into Flipper Zero lately — the more I read, the more I realize it’s kind of wild how much it can do:

🔸 Sub-GHz, NFC, RFID
🔸 IR blasting
🔸 BadUSB stuff
🔸 GPIO pins for hardware hacking
🔸 Bluetooth (with the dev board)
🔸 And of course, custom firmware like Unleashed or RogueMaster

It’s like a hacker’s Tamagotchi and Swiss army knife rolled into one.

I’ve seen all kinds of use cases online — from cloning keyfobs to automating smart home things, messing with old TVs, running scripts, even using it as a basic dev tool.

But I’m curious:
👉What have you actually used your Flipper for?
👉 Any small projects, random hacks, weird experiments?
👉 Or maybe some surprisingly useful everyday tool-type uses?

Also, I’ve noticed more and more cool expansion boards coming out on Elecrow Maker Marketplace — Wi-Fi boards, IR boosters, GPIO breakouts, and more. Anyway, this one attracts me most

What about your favorite add-on? Something you’d recommend to make the Flipper even more fun or powerful?

Would love to hear what you’ve done with it — serious, silly, whatever.
Drop links, pics, repos, whatever you’ve got 🙌

Over the past few months, we’ve been honored to support one of our talented partner sellers throughout their product journey — from the initial prototype stage, to manufacturing, and finally bringing their creation to market.

This process wasn’t just about making a product. It was about collaboration, persistence, and turning ideas into reality. Our team worked closely with the seller at every step to ensure the final product met their vision.

We’re incredibly happy to see their project officially launched and gaining recognition from the market! 🎉

Even more rewarding? Receiving sincere and encouraging feedback like this:
Q: Is sourcing parts for the PCBA easier with Elecrow rather than JLC(where it has additional costs)?
A: Honestly, I don't have a direct comparison for this project. I chose Elecrow because they offer PCBA+ warehousing and shipping service! Their customer care has also been amazing.l can definitely recommend them!

This kind of feedback reminds us why we started the Partner Seller Program in the first place — to help makers and developers focus on innovation, while we handle the rest: production, fulfillment, and support.

We’re deeply grateful for every creator who chooses to work with us, and we’ll continue to improve our service to help even more ideas come to life.

🙌 Are you a maker with a product idea?
If you’ve built something awesome and dream of getting it into the hands of users around the world, we’d love to help. Let’s build the next success story together!

Have you ever had a project go hilariously wrong?
Or you coded something and forgot a semicolon, and your LED matrix started acting possessed.
Or your 3D print turned into spaghetti at 2 am.

Hi everyone!
I’m not super technical myself, but I really enjoy browsing through the amazing stuff makers like you create. Whether it’s a DIY robot, an automatic curtain system, or some genius little gadget, I often find myself thinking:

“Wow... how do people even come up with this stuff?!”

So here’s a question I’ve been dying to ask:

Have you ever built something that made you feel seriously proud of yourself?
Like, one of those projects where—even if nobody else noticed or used it—you looked at it and thought, “Damn. I actually made this!”

Whether it’s cool, weird, totally over-engineered, or just something that works exactly how you imagined, I’d love to hear about it.

What inspired you to make it?
What were the hardest parts?
And once it was done… did you celebrate? Show it off? Just stare at it lovingly for a few days? 😄

Feel free to drop pictures, links, videos, or long stories. I probably won’t understand all the techy bits, but I will understand the passion and persistence behind it.
